Nishlis Legal Marketing has contributed to the Beyond Borders section of the summer issue of PSMG LLP’s Centrum magazine, exploring some of the trends shaping legal markets across Asia-Pacific.
Written by our Head of APAC, Joseph Boswell, the feature draws on conversations and observations from across the region, with a particular focus on Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
While each of these markets has its own characteristics, some important themes are emerging across the region. Law firms are becoming increasingly international in their outlook, cross-border relationships and referral networks are growing in importance, and firms are thinking more strategically about how they position themselves for international opportunities.
The feature also looks at how internationalisation is playing out differently across individual markets, from the outward expansion of Japanese firms and growing international ambitions of independent Southeast Asian practices, to the continued development of Singapore as a regional legal and business hub.
