Joe Boswell is a legal market specialist with a rare perspective on the global legal industry and particular expertise in the Asian legal market, developed over a decade leading GC research and international events at Legal 500. Having interviewed and worked directly with thousands of the world’s leading general counsel, chief legal officers and senior legal decision-makers, he has gained an exceptional understanding of how corporate clients select and evaluate their external legal advisers.

Through this work, he has collaborated closely with a wide range of law firms, from global practices to prominent regional firms, helping connect them with senior in-house counsel and strengthen their visibility among key corporate decision-makers.

As Global Editor of Legal 500’s GC Powerlist series, the leading publication recognising the world’s top corporate counsel across every major jurisdiction, Joe oversaw the production of more than 200 editions highlighting outstanding in-house lawyers worldwide and built one of the most extensive networks of senior corporate legal leaders in the industry.

As Head of International Events Content, Joe played a key role in developing Legal 500’s hugely successful international events platform, overseeing a global programme that delivered more than 500 legal industry events during his tenure.

He personally organised, attended and chaired more than 100 conferences, roundtables and networking forums, the majority of which took place in East and Southeast Asia, where he has become a well-known figure within the region’s legal and corporate counsel community.
