Australia and South Korea were at the forefront of cross-border transactions this week in Israel, as NeoGames was bought by Australian gaming company Aristocrat Leisure for USD1.2 billion (Herzog and Latham & Watkins for the target, H-F & Co.  for the buyer), while South Korean leisure and hospitality company Yanolja (represented by Watson Farley & Williams and Firon ) snapped up Israel’s Go Global Travel from AMI (represented by Herzog). 

Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner acted on the franchise agreement for Carrefour Group, as it opened 50 stores in Israel, while Carter Ledyard & Milburn casts an eye over the increase and range of litigation in the cannabis industry, as it continues to mature in the U.S. and elsewhere.

Amdocs bought TEOCO’s service assurance business, with Meitar acting for the buyer,  Erdinast, Ben Nathan, Toledano & Co. With Hamburger Evron for the target. S. Horowitz . received the Lex Mundi Equisphere award for 2023, recognizing its work on Bosch’s USD700 million acquisition of Elmo Motion, the largest acquisition of a private company in Israel in 2022.
